FROM PASTOR BOB’S DESK AND HEART

I hope all of you have had a wonderful summer and are ready for the yearly fall activities in your family, school and church. I know this summer has been wonderful for JoAnn and I. We had such a wonderful time on our trip to Guatemala, our vacation and an exceptional time with our family. But we are ready to begin an exciting time of ministry in the church.

I continue to be so pleased with what God is doing in the church. Pastor Don and I were asked to pray with someone in one of our nursing homes this week and the comments by those folks were that we had not been the first ones there to minister the love of God. In short, our church folks have been there already and this really made me feel good about the love in our church. Keep loving, praying and trusting.

As you can see in this newsletter, we have a lot of things happening this fall all the way to the end of this year. I encourage all of you to ask the Lord what your involvement should be. It would be a great time for some of you to get started in Wednesday Night Bible Study, bring the whole family. You adults can study, your youth and children will have ministries that will help them grow and benefit the whole family.

Our building addition is underway as you can see and we will be having a stewardship emphasis during the month of September culminating with a victory Sunday, September 27th. You will hear much more about this.

I am convinced that God is really going to use people in this day who are really sold out to Christ and know their Bible. The Bible is the guide and light that we follow and with the direction of the Holy Spirit, we will reach our victory in Jesus Christ.

JoAnn and I are really excited to be a part of Trinity and we commit to pray, prepare and do our best to lead the church and trust God to be an example to the folks.
